The First International Platform on Integrating Arab e-infrastructure in a Global Environment will take place in December under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.

Organised by the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN), EUMEDGrid Support, EUMEDCONNECT and INTERNET2, the event is intended to be the launch pad for Research and Education connectivity and cooperation.
As well as high-level keynote speakers and panel discussions taking place, the region’s foremost innovators, leaders, scientists and businesses will discuss Research and Education networks to tackle today’s crises in climate change, global economy, food and water scarcity, alternative energy, and threatening environmental issues.

Other events are taking place in conjunction with e-AGE 2011; EU-MED event 4, US Internet2 SIG and ASREN first annual meeting.

e-AGE will see the launch of EUMEDCONNECT3, the third phase of the EUMEDCONNECT project.

There will be a EUMEDCONNECT3 project meeting on 14th  December. Any NREN representatives are welcome to participate.
